Hot Fusing

For Fused Rod Products thick fibers (cane glass) are densely packed into a piece of cladding glass and redrawn.

This process allows us to achieve a higher packing density. The empty spaces between the individual fiber strands are minimized, and the light discharge is increased.

Secondary operations can form the rod into various shapes.
