| The Video Microprobe system is comprised of a probe with an integral optical system and annular ring of illuminating optical fibers, a focusing unit, and four different C-mount adapter tubes. A wide variety of field-of-view and magnifications can be obtained by selecting the appropriate modules.
Although the Video Microprobe is similar to a short borescope in appearance, its imaging capability is more closely related to the microscope. The magnification is dependant upon the working distance and C-mount tube length. Objects go in and out of focus as the working distance or focus unit is adjusted.
Due to its long working distance and very compact size, the Video Microprobe can be used as an Alignment Targeting System, a lens for Machine Vision, and a Measurement Tool.
The Video Microprobe is compatible with both color and monochrome cameras using either analog or digital technology, and standard C-mount lenses or adapters.
